You Are Going To Be OK :-)

As I have helped many people work through the Light vs Dark exercises seen in the Introductory Videos, I have found a common lie on the dark side. Remember that when we feel emotions of light (love, hope, joy, peace, etc) we are connecting to light & truth. When we feel dark emotions (fear, anger, unloved, self doubt, etc) we are connecting to darkness and lies. The common lie seems to be something along these lines: “Because of this problem (whatever your problem may be), you are not OK, and you are not going to be OK.” When we start doubting that we are going to be OK, fear kicks in, and then the follow up emotions that come from fear such as anxiety, worry, feeling overwhelmed, etc.  When we look at God’s truth on the light side, his truth is that no matter what the problem is, no matter how bad things have been, are, or will be, you are OK and you are  going to be OK! It doesn’t mean God will suddenly take away the pain of life, but even though there are problems and pain in life, as you exercise faith in Christ it will all be for your good. It is important that we exercise faith and see beyond the here and now. If we only depend on our physical senses for information, that will lead us to believe that the only things possible are what has been and what is. But there are infinite possibilities, and no matter how painful the past has been or your present is, your life can be joyful.  Trust in God, trust his truth that you are going to be OK no matter what happens. There will be days with bad news. There will be days where you get the wind knocked out of you physically or emotionally. Trust in Christ, all of this is giving you the perfect experience you need to reach your full potential. All of these challenges that stress you and bring you down are meant to be for your good. God sends all of his children to a dark planet where we all experience pain. He loves us so much, he wouldn’t allow all this pain if in the end it didn’t bring about a greater good. We can’t see the whole picture from where we are, we have to trust that we are going to be OK, even on those days when it looks like things couldn’t possibly be worse. As you trust that no matter what happens next you are going to be OK, you can have peace of mind, hope, and confidence in the most difficult circumstances. If we wait to be happy until all of our problems are fixed, we may never experience happiness. We can make choices that lead to inner peace and happiness, even while traveling through hell.

God bless you to find peace of mind in adversity.
